GPS Clock - TCG 01
|
The TCG 01 is a highly accurate, full featured GPS clock for use in electricity Distribution/Transmission and generation protection and control systems. The clock synchronizes multiple IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices) within a network, including protection relays and remote telemetry units, and provides time-stamps to all electronic data being generated by the IEDs. The TCG 01 supports IEC 61850. |

| Lightning Protection Kit | |
| The antenna lightning protection kit affords additional protection through the use of an impulse suppressor installed in the antenna lead-in coax cable. In the event of a lightning-derived high voltage surge occurring on the coaxial cable, the impulse suppressor activates, short-circuiting the cable directly to the protection ground. | |
| Kit contents (all components required to install lightning protection are included): | - Poly-phasor DGXZ+06NFNF-A Impulse Suppressor - 2 x N-type Male Crimp Style Coaxial cable - Connector set to match antenna cable - Crimp Tool to match the above connectors RG59). |
| Antenna mount | |
| An adjustable 500mm powdercoated steel mounting bracket. | |

| Case Study - Transpower. In 2000 Transpower, the national electricity grid operator in New Zealand, began an upgrade of their protection systems, which included installing GPS clocks in all their substations. To meet the accuracy demands of new protection technology, as well as the unique requirement for balanced, isolated outputs, they chose Tekron GPS clocks. [Download case study - 170 KB] |
