The Importance of Time Synchronization

GPS time sync of control systems plays an important role in maximizing network efficiency and aiding disaster recovery.

Synchronizing equipment, especially in distant locations creates cost benefits and efficiency gains. The network is able to operate closer to capacity and coordination and reporting is able to be centralized.

Outage durations are minimized with faults able to be tracked even at distant locations. Time synchronization also allows fast, accurate fault diagnosis so network resources not in fault are able to be immediately reinstated.
